The essential subject of Bettina Mielke is the balance between opposites. Within her pop-surrealistic paintings Mielke utilizes a global visual language, whose “vocables”, similar to archetypes, vary in allocation without losing themselves in arbitrary.
So the viewer can wander on their own individual associative network by viewing the paintings, which act as a gateway, a trigger or a quiet crossroad.
